Hit the ball Farther, Straighter and more accurately with less chance of injury.Pilates is a full body, low impact exercise program that strengthens your core muscles (trunk, shoulder girdles, pelvis), while aiding in spinal flexibility, shoulder & hip mobility. A strong core leads to improvements in hip rotation, range of motion in shoulders & back stability which translate directly to generating more powerful and accurate golf shots.
A stronger and more stable core helps golfers:
- Attain an optimal backswing and follow-through with increased range of motion in shoulders
- Get more distance and power because of added hip and torso flexibility
- Have a stronger and bigger hip turn for greater power through rotation
- Create a smoother and more powerful swing due to evenly conditioned back muscles
- Maximize balance and alignment while rotating
- Decrease fatigue because of less strain on the body
- Hold a body position to follow through a shot.
How to Train for Your Golf Season
Private Training; Schedule a time flexible to your work week/golf schedule.*If your goal is to increase core & hip strength, its recommended to schedule a minimum of 2 days prior to your golf game.
*If you’re looking to increase flexibility & mobility, it’s recommended to schedule 1 day prior to golfing.

Pilates For Golfers Small Group Training; Schedule a weekly private class for you & 3 other friends by appointment. (Min 4 people)
Pilates for Golfers I (PG-I): Pilates Fundamentals, Beginner/Intermediate Mat work & Beginner Apparatus work; Good for those new to pilates or who suffer from chronic low-back, hip & shoulder pain. Exercises aimed to establish baseline for abdominal/hip strength & increase hip/shoulder mobility.
Pilates for Golfers II (PG-II): Intermediate Mat & Apparatus work; Must complete 2 series of PG-I or PT before advancement to avoid injury. Exercises aimed to increase core & shoulder strength, encourage low back flexibility, shoulder/hip mobility and spinal rotation
Pilates for Golfers III (PG-III): Intermediate/Advanced Mat & Apparatus work. Exercises are aimed to increase shoulder, core and low back strength, spinal rotation & overall fitness using a combination of apparatus work & functional training. Must have completed 2 series of PG-I, and 2 series of PG-II or PT equivalence to enroll in this advanced program.
Times currently available: Sunday evenings (6:30pm-8:00pm), Mon-Fri (7:00am-4:00pm) or Mon/Wed 7:00pm. Series begins once class is full (4 people)
8 Sessions for $240 per person. Series runs for 8 consecutive weeks.
*Makeups are negotiable upon group request pending schedule conflicts.
